Ticking Clock Chardonnay 2018

Remember how summer days would stretch on forever? And time was passed by blowing dandelion fluff, not by meeting deadlines? We do. So we set out to California’s Central Coast to re-capture that easy, slow-paced essence in a bottle of amazingly tasty Chardonnay.

Thanks to the great 2018 vintage and the vast connections of Clare Tooley (our Master of Wine candidate who has an especially keen palate for Chardonnay), we found the perfect parcels of grapes. In the glass, this offers up layers of vibrant, orchard- and citrus-fruit flavors – very subtle oak aging adds pretty vanilla and toasty, biscuity notes.

We named it Ticking Clock in honor of all the folks out there who would love nothing more than for time to stand still for just a moment – pour a glass and enjoy solo. Or dive into one of those already-made rotisserie chickens and let someone else do the cooking for a change!
