Frappato is a red grape variety native to Sicily, particularly associated with the southeastern region around the town of Vittoria. They are characterized by their soft tannins and refreshing, juicy character, making them ideal for early consumption. What makes Frappato unique is its role in Sicilian winemaking, where it is often blended with Nero d’Avola to create Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG wines, the only DOCG in Sicily.
