Sweet, palate-staining blackberry, boysenberry and floral pastille flavors expand slowly with air and take on a bitter chocolate note on the back half. Rich but lively as well, showing outstanding clarity and mineral thrust on a persistent finish that features fine-grained tannins and suave, clinging floral and star anise notes.
