Saint-Pourçain is nestled in Auvergne, one of France’s oldest wine regions. Terroirs range from chalky clay slopes of the Sioule River to high sandy gravel alluvial terraces overlooking the Allier River and granite soils in the western vineyards. Sylvain Miniot is an integral part of Saint-Pourçain’s current story and today serves as the chief oenologist of the co-op where he has worked since 1990. Sylvain’s rosé is a pure, 100% Gamay delight. Aged five months on its lees in stainless steel tanks, it shows a light salmon-pink hue and reveals aromas of peach and apricot along with hints of raspberries and rose petals. Certified sustainable.

Rosé blends, a captivating category in the world of wine, represent a harmonious fusion of red and white grape varietals. Distinctive for their enchanting pink hue, these wines embody the art of balance, blending the robust character of reds with the crispness of whites. Renowned for their versatility, rosé blends offer a diverse palate experience, ranging from bone-dry to subtly sweet, catering to a spectrum of preferences.

Crafting a quality rosé blend requires a winemaker’s expertise to achieve the desired color and flavor profile. Typically, red grape varietals such as Grenache, Syrah, or Sangiovese are coupled with whites like Sauvignon Blanc or Vermentino. The result is a refreshing and vibrant wine with nuanced aromas, making it a perfect companion for various occasions. Whether sipped on a summer day or paired with a gourmet meal, rosé blends exemplify the epitome of elegance, inviting both novices and connoisseurs to explore the nuanced world of wine.
