The mythical Maria Fadista is a fitting symbol of fado and its rich cultural significance. A true force of nature, she danced to the beat of her own drum, dreaming of wild adventures and starry nights.

Inspired by Maria’s untamed spirit, this sumptuous Portuguese red blend will win you over with soaring notes of velvety black fruit and gentle hints of vanilla. It’s the handiwork of Jaime Quendera, a superstar in southern Portugal. He worked with the team at the renowned co-operative Pegões, which won Portuguese Wine Producer of the Year at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in back-to-back years.

Sourcing grapes from the Setúbal Peninsula, Jaime blended Portugal’s top native varieties, including Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional. This popular marriage of local grapes makes an expressive, smooth and juicy red with inviting aromas of dark cherry, cocoa and warm spice.
