The Il Marroneto 2021 Rosso di Montalcino Iacopo is packed tight with primary fruit, bright cherry and all kinds of berries, raspberries and currants. There is Christmas spice, clove, cinnamon and dried orange peel. The mouthfeel is very lively with beautiful dusty tannins and approachable freshness. This is a terrific Rosso that brings you to the lighter and fresher side of Montalcino. Of the two Rossos, Iacopo and Ignaccio, I found this bottle to be brighter.
