As its name implies, it comes to us from the premium Touraine region (halfway between Sancerre and Nantes), which is known for its top-quality, great-value alternatives to the aforementioned pricey bottlings. That’s where Patrick Vauvy manages his family’s 74 acres of vines, which unfurl above the banks of the Cher river.

Patrick has earned a reputation for being one of the last in the area to harvest his grapes: He likes to wait until the fruit is extremely juicy and ripe. Then, back in the cellar, he locks in these vibrant fruit flavors with a nice cool fermentation, ensuring the bottle that reaches your table will be immediately bright and appealing.
