This delightful wine shows unexpected colour and ripeness for the vintage, with a plump blackberry and plum fruit initially and a round and supple texture, yet sports enough tannin and balanced acidity to give this great appeal in a difficult vintage. Derey Frères farms 0.90 hectares of Hervelets, making them one of the principal producers here. The grapes are fermented with about 50% whole clusters and are presently ageing in cask.
