“This is a beautiful wine that is climbing fast on a podium of the best in Bolgheri,” raved Wine Advocate. Comprising 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc, the wine rested 18 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Its dark, crushed-berry power is matched by ethereal aromas of spice, soil, cigar smoke, and underbrush.

Perched 700 feet above sea level, Argentiera’s vineyards afford a spectacular view of the gleaming Tyrrhenian Sea. The elevation increases the range between daytime and nighttime temperatures, boosting phenolic ripeness in the grapes.

Ringed by forest and evergreen scrubs, the soils are a complex array of sand, stones, and clay.  Silver mines that once dotted the hills inspired the estate’s name (from argento, Italian for silver).
