Star Winemaker’s Last 40 Cases of Luscious 2013 Napa Cab
If you love gorgeous, layered, and rich Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon but want to spend under $50 – this is for you. The 2013 Wilson & Wilson is from a superb vintage, crafted by a renowned winemaker, and made in tiny quantities. What else could we ask for?
Boasting fruit from St. Helena, Oakville and Calistoga vineyards, the 2013 Wilson & Wilson Cabernet Sauvignon is an exceptional library release that “shows power and grace in equal measure,” raves Wine Enthusiast. $65 at the winery. $49.99 at Wine Access—a savings of 23%.
It is a dark jewel with aromatics of raspberry, incense, and black olives, framed by rich, firm tannins, drinking beautifully right now, and perfectly poised to serve at your holiday gatherings.
The winemaker behind Wilson & Wilson is Alan Viader, a guy whose winemaking roots date back to his first harvest at age nine with his mother, Delia Viader, a Napa legend. Delia was a Howell Mountain trailblazer, purchasing steep, high-altitude plots back in the mid-1980s. Today, Alan and Delia together form perhaps the region’s most acclaimed mother-son winemaking team at the cult winery Viader, earning high scores on Cabernets that collectors pay top dollar for. That family pedigree shines through in this terrific release, an elegant powerhouse.
Wilson & Wilson’s luscious, opulent Cabernet Sauvignons are typically reserved for the mailing list, private clients, and a few top restaurant cellars around San Francisco. Today, thanks to our relationship with Ted Wilson, we scored the winery’s last 40 cases from the historic 2013 vintage, labeled a “game-changer” and “sensational” by Robert Parker.
For just $49.99, you can join a select group of private collectors who have brought home one of Wilson & Wilson’s perfectly-aged 2013 beauties. Just 280 cases produced.
