90-92 The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Argillats 1er Cru has a ripe, pastille-like bouquet with perfumed violet scents filtering through the wild strawberry and Tayberry aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, bright red berry fruit, raspberry and strawberry, white pepper and orange rind furnishing the cohesive, though not powerful finish. Maybe it just needs a little more persistence on the aftertaste.
