Purple Owl Pinot Noir 2018

We’re always on the lookout for great-value Pinot Noir – and this beautiful find from California had us smiling from ear to ear.

Named for the purple owl’s clover that blankets the vineyards of California’s Central Coast, this is as pretty as its watercolor label (a work by early 20th-century artist, Ernest Clayton). It’s also another ripe-fruited star from the excellent harvest in 2018, which is the latest in a long string of record-breaking, top-quality vintages.

Made with premium grapes, sourced from top-sited vineyards from the Central Coast – and given just a delicate kiss of oak aging – Purple Owl offers up layers of vibrant black cherry and raspberry, hints of violet, and that silky texture Pinot fans love so much.
