2016 Dalla Valle Vineyards Maya Oakville Napa Valley

Today we’re thrilled to extend access to an extremely limited allocation of  Dalla Valle’s 100-point 2016 Maya. 

Thanks to our fantastic relationship with Naoko and Maya Dalla Valle, and Dalla Valle winemaker Andy Erickson, we a very small allocation of this collector’s showpiece that are more or less impossible to find outside the winery: the 2016 Maya Oakville, a 100-point-rated, age-worthy masterpiece that will, as always, come to you directly from the cool Dalla Valle cellars.

The 2016 Maya is pure perfection: It’s the fourth Dalla Valle wine in the estate’s nearly four-decade history to earn 100 points from the Wine Advocate. Composed of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it presents an all-consuming bold purple color, and unfurls in the glass with blackberry and currant aromas complemented by mocha, violets, kirsch, and exotic spices. Firm and super-fine-grained tannins are woven like a tapestry, with flavors of red currant, cherry, and toast gliding smoothly along, finishing beautifully long.

For those patient enough to cellar it, this wine will improve with age over the next three decades.
