“The Prisoner” Founder Dave Phinney’s Exciting New Release

Phinney’s brand new release is Locations CA5, which boasts generously concentrated red-berry fruit with all the opulence of back-to-back near-perfect vintages in California. At $19.99 per bottle, this is another cellar-stuffer from Phinney.

After being bowled over by “The Prisoner,” we’ve followed Phinney to inspired Locations around the world, to the schist-strewn soils of Maury in the south of France and the fog-shrouded hills of Italy. This Locations CA5 — from Phinney’s beloved California — is another extravagant black-fruited blend drawn from ancient-vine Petite Sirah, layered with superbly-concentrated mix of Tempranillo, Barbera, Syrah, and Grenache. Again, this Locations is a magnificently juicy red blend and one of our all-time favorites.
