2021 Chateau Minuty Rosé Prestige Cotes de Provence

There are VERY few rosés that belong in the same sentence as the words “world-class.” 

Minuty is one of them. 

The Provençal icon can be found on the wine lists at the world’s top French restaurants. Its sun-kissed vibrancy, crystal-clear red fruit purity, incredible subtlety, and delicate floral complexity define the Côtes de Provence and show why this bottling has long set the standard for rosé worldwide. 

Over the years, we’ve enjoyed many white-tablecloth dinners that have been elevated by Minuty’s salmon-hued rosé. But our most memorable experience took place far from the trappings of fine dining, on a rocky outcrop on a beach in the Cote d’Azur, when we happened upon a few locals diving for sea urchins. We had a few bottles of Minuty on hand, which made us fast friends—and a few minutes after we met, we were holding a spoon heaped with the fresh sea urchin drizzled with lemon. 

Washed down with the Minuty, it was one of the greatest gastronomic experiences of our lives. The intense umami of the sea urchin perfectly balanced by the mouthwatering and bright red-fruit acidity; the Minuty’s sea-spray salinity and mineral edge melding perfectly with one of the greatest of ocean delicacies; the subtle notes of violet and lavender adding an elegant floral garnish to the entire experience.

That’s our memory, and a sip of Minuty never fails to bring it to the fore. One sip of the 2021 and you’ll see why Minuty is a legend—and an invitation to make your own memories.
