For Leopardo Felici, years of work as a sommelier in London and Italy—including a stint at Enoteca Pinchiorri, one of Italy’s most famous MICHELIN-three-star restaurants—did more than ignite a love affair with minerally, terroir-driven wines like Chablis and white Burgundy.

Felici was named 2020 Winemaker of the Year by Gambero Rosso, and year after year, his Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi lands near the top of annual best-of articles from critics and journalists around the world. Gambero Rosso calls it “among the best expressions of the Marche” region, while Forbes included Felici’s wines in their list of the best whites in Italy. Corriere della Sera, one of Italy’s top newspapers, went bigger, listing Felici in their top 50 wineries of Italy alongside such icons as Sassicaia, Quintarelli, and Cavallotto. 

The newest vintage from a winemaker who has taken home Gambero Rosso’s prestigious Tre Bicchieri award several times, Felici’s 2021 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi is a stunning white that shows exactly why his wines are a Marche benchmark.
