There’s one wine that defines Australia’s best, and it’s Henschke’s Hill of Grace. Without a doubt this is the shining jewel of the Land Down Under, and a consistent top-scoring standout that truly goes head-to-head with the best of Napa and Bordeaux. Only 120 bottles—a mere ten cases—of Henschke’s 2015 Hill of Grace were imported, and a sliver of that is available to Wine Access collectors like you.
This is one of the few wines that truly gains value over time, and we’re thrilled to offer you a chance at this bottle in perfect provenance—and without the doubt or markups that come on the auction block or the gray market.
Henschke, a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, is unquestionably an icon of Australia. As a winery, they boast an incredible history and have racked up numerous accolades over nearly 150 years of production. Most recently, Henschke was announced as the Halliday Wine Companion Awards’ 2021 Winery of the Year.
The wines are now under the watchful eye of sixth-generation winemaker, Johann Henschke. He has honed his craft across the world working for wineries in Tuscany, Central Otago, and Napa, all in preparation to continue the family legacy of creating world-class wines from some of the oldest vines in the region.
While other famous wines work to blend across vineyards and regions, Henschke is all about a singular expression of place and time. And time not only in reference to vintage conditions but the 100+ years these vines have been in the ground! Cyril Henschke created the first Hill of Grace in 1958 from Shiraz vines at the vineyard adjacent to the beautiful Gnadenberg church. The vines were first planted in the 1860s and continue to put forth profoundly complex wines. We are thrilled to share the bottled history with our members!
