We originally tasted at the château on the banks of the Garonne, and we gushed over the velvety 2015 Château Pied d’Argent Côtes de Bordeaux. The 2015 vintage blend consists of 55% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the remainder Cab Franc and Malbec. Brilliant dark-purple, this generous Right Bank beauty shows the power and freshness of the 2015 vintage. Full-bodied, fleshy fruit and supple tannins round out a soft mid-palate, while a succulent core of black cherry, licorice, and cassis gives way to a lengthy finish tinged with whispers of smoke and tobacco spice.
